Keren Schwindt 

Keren Schwindt is a self-taught, South Florida abstract painter. After growing up as a sketch artist, and then spending time abroad being able to study the works of great artists from the Louvre, Centre Pompidou in Paris, the Prado Museum in Spain, and even Iceland, Keren developed a contemporary style all her own in abstract painting that marries a touch of whimsy to surrealism, impressionism, and cubism in abstraction. Being raised with both Hispanic and Asian cultures, you may often see touches of those influences in her work as well. By applying abstraction, Keren creates intense personal moments masterfully created by means of rules and omissions, acceptance and refusal, luring the viewer to new and heightened experiences of the everyday.

"My work tends to represent various forms of abstraction in order to create pieces that exemplify layered textures as well as layered meanings. With the understanding that humans are complex beings of emotion, feelings, and ideas that often coexist as contradictory while being simultaneously true, my work lives in the tension of that push and pull."

When Keren is not painting, she enjoys connecting with others and volunteering time at her local church in Jupiter, Florida, as well as working in Critical Care medicine and hospital administration where she has carried various roles including working with Covid ICU patients throughout the pandemic. 

Paintings by Keren Schwindt have been featured in South Florida homes, businesses, and galleries. Commission pieces, public appearances, and private showings, are also available.
